I'm proud to announce that I passed my IPPT test yesterday and that I do not need to attend any more Remedial training.
Feels great to be able to enjoy my Saturdays without having to waste it at the army camp.
Moreover I got $100 as incentive for attaining the bronze award. YAY!

Yesterday Ps Geroge shared a wonderful and touching story of the lost penny. It was a real tale of a pastor whom God prompted him to do something which all of us us would not do and it goes to show how deep Daddy's love for us. It goes like this....

This pastor stepped out of his car and he saw a penny on the floor ( American 1 cent coin ) but he thought it wasn't worth the trouble and he was getting into his age but the Holy Spirit prompted this pastor " It is still ONE " so the pastor obediently bent down to pick it up. WHen he went home, he put that penny into a jar on his dresser.

The next day he was walking in a shop and he spotted another penny, this one was hidden between 2 pots of plants. Now it was dirty and wet from all the watering but the pastor reached in and wiped it clean before putting into his pocket. " It is still ONE "

He was walking down the street and as he stepped on the other side, he spotted a penny on teh road. He waited for the traffic to stop again before heading back to pick it up. This penny was grim encrusted, it was beaten flat with tire marks. The pastor blow off the dirt and put it in. " It is still ONE"

For the next few days this pastor began to find pennies everywhere he went and he picked all of them up.

The pastor was at an airport this time and he visited the men's room and lo and behold, he saw a penny....right in the urinal...The pastor thought " You aren't expecting me to do that Lord? " but the pastor knew " It was still ONE " and he went and got lots and lots of tissues to pick that penny up and he washed and washed it with soap and water before he dropped it into his pocket..." It was still ONE "

Before long, the pastor collected 20 cents worth of pennies and he used that illustration to talk about the lost sheep and the lost son...

Take a look at your life now, before Christ came into our lives, we were like those lost pennies, some of us went through a difficult time with the tire marks of life running all over our body, some of us had a good life but in the end it was God who considered us as precious..." It is still ONE " as He redeemed us from the road, from the plants or from the streets....

This story touched me as I recall how God have such great plans for each and every one of us. He loved you and me that Jesus went on the cross to die for us. He saw the potential in all of us not because of teh talents that we display but because He made us.

This is all about the Father's love for us and I thank God for His grace and mercy each and every day....

In other news, seems like Ivan and myself have to come up with a song item for Christmas.....I'm used to be doing spoofs of Christmas Carols ( 12 days of Christmas ( local version ) was a smashing hit in 2005's Christmas party" )
Gotta think think think.......somehow the theme song for the " Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" keeps coming to me....for now lemme rest...

Corrinne May.....I was first introduced to her by a good friend of mine, Siao Ling. I managed to catch her live (with my friend Ling) at the Esplanade library where she performed and in my opinon ( along with the many others that gathereed there ) she is good and she is a local singer/songwriter but she is based in LA.

What I like about her songs is that she puts you at ease and its a special kind of feeling that somehow I can't describe. It's like all your troubles just melt away..... I was talking about her with Joce ( 2nd Corrinne May fan ) on MSN and I told her how great it would be if you were driving alone in the desert night with noone else around and a Corrinne May CD in ur player......the song "Fly away" comes to my mine.

Or that song " Safe in a crazy world " or " same side of the moon" where you sit in your darkened room at 1am and just listen to it. Corrinne is a Christian but she is a catoloic but her songs somehow speak about God and His love.....maybe that is partially why I like it.....

Anyways she will be releasing her next album for Christmas and she will be performing live as well so unsure if I'm gonna catch it myself....

Well it was an exhausting week for me. I had to conduct a camp for 60 children on Sat and it was really really tiring. I was knocked out but that was not the end.....on sunday morning I had to do my makeup physical training at my army camp in the morning and head to church in the late morning....it was a special day to celebrate his 43rd birthday as well as 20 years in ministry. I follow a crazy man with a crazy dream and God has been fruitful and blessed his life with 2 wonderful children and a fasntatsic wife ( who is the children's pastor )

Anyways....I have a bit of flu and my msucles ache.....I was suppossed to have my off today but guess what, I had to push it back to next monday due to work commitments...

However ther was still a bright spark last week. I was invited to Xishan Primary school for their prize giving ceremony and one of the prizes given were the character awards. It was great to see these childrem who have shown improvement in their character come up to receive their prizes...these are the children whom I have poured into them and it was a great joy to see them excel and soar in their character.

Oh well back to work and this sunday we have another round of memory verse competition and my disciplee and myself will be working on Psalms 139...got to crack my head on a creative way to present as well as remember it....

Man I should get down to blogging on a regular basis but work is getting to me and I am so dead tired after work.../sigh

Having mixed feelings, for 1 conference is over and everyone is on thei way back to their nations, cities and towns. The hall is quiet and the fire continues to burn. For the last 3 days we laughed, we cried and we gloried the name of Jesus.

For the last 3 days I met ordinary people with extraordinary testimonies. I made new friends ( shouts to Nancy ) and met up with old ones ( Yo Kayla, Curtis, Diane, Melissa, Kentanty, Terrance, Ps Raffiel, Ps Kim Pau, How, Suan Jing, Ps Robert, Ps Larry, Ps Paul ) Basically people whom I have rubbed shoulders with in the last 3 years when I went to Mynamar and Okinawa. I am really sad that Melissa will be returning to the States soon and Naomi has moved back to USA. The only memroies of them are the photos from this year's conference.
On the other hand I was tickled by Pastor Larry from USA, he was like a grandfather to me. He makes these really funny comments and flows along with the youths so well despite the age shown in his hair ( white ) He is a very popular guy and I enjoyed the times goofing alongside him.

The event I have waited for 1 year is now over and it will be another 365 days before we gather back in Singapore.
This is my wish: To go for more than 1 mission trip for 2007. The conferences begin in March with Nepal and end in Okinawa in Sept. Till then I thank everyone and daddy God for setting me up to meet with some of the most fantastic youths and leaders of Asia.
